上海华通开关厂有限公司（原上海华通开关厂）创建于 1919 年，是“中华老字号”企业和国内外著名的电气设备制造企业之一，曾为中国民族工业的强盛做出了卓越的贡献。

为发展华通、壮大华通，2005年1月上海华通开关厂转制为上海华通开关厂有限公司（股份制企业）。公司现有注册资金5428.2万元，主要生产产品有高、低压断路器；高、低压成套开关设备；自动化装置和与海军舰船配套的配电板、消磁设备和电器电源等。

公司继承、保持华通90年的特优制造工艺和管理，积极吸取国际先进经验，采取独立自主开发适合我国国情的高新产品策略，通过引进技术技贸合作，合作生产等形式致力于企业产品更新换代。同时拥有原八十年代以来先后从国际先进企业引进的10kV-35kV-220kV六氟化硫断路器、35kV与10kV可配六氟化硫断路器及真空断路器开关设备，以及400V低压成套开关设备等产品制造技术。产品广泛安全可靠地运行在国家电网电站(厂)、基础设施、秦山核电站、轨道交通、商业建筑及各类舰船等各个领域。产品遍布全国 31 个省、直辖市的重点工程。并远销越南、伊朗、孟加拉国、柬埔寨、菲律宾、阿尔巴尼亚、泰国、老挝、刚果、印尼、毛里求斯等国外电网电站。

公司现拥有雄厚的技术力量和优越的生产条件。2005年，公司根据上海市规划要求在松江区征用土地7万余平方米，建造了现代化的洁净厂房，总建筑面积为66666.5平方米。2007年5月，公司正式从原上海市灵石路650号迁至现新的生产厂房。公司现有技术人员 87 人；高级工 45 人；管理人员 78 人。拥有中央试验室、理化试验室和计量室；拥有120万伏工频耐压装置设备和先进的检测设备16台。拥有精、大、细生产设备29台。有良好的工作环境、先进的试验设备，以及严格的质量管理体系作保障，产品性能稳定、质量可靠。“华通牌”产品被上海市名牌推荐委员会连续十年认定为“上海名牌产品”及著名商标。2007年，公司被上海市科协评定为高新技术企业和“上海市科技小巨人培育企业”。

Shanghai Hua Tong Switchgear Works Co., Ltd., a famous time-honored enterprises both at home and abroad, is a reconstructed and system transformed enterprise from original Shanghai Hua Tong Switchgear Works founded in 1919, one of the most famous domestic comprehensive electric equipment manufacturers who had made fruitful contributions in China national industry.

In January 2005, the brand new Shanghai Hua Tong Switchgear Works Co., Ltd. (a stock holding enterprise) was established based on system reformation of Shanghai Hua Tong Switchgear Works in order to make full development. With a registered capital of RMB 54282000, Hua Tong is mainly manufacturing nowadays high and low voltage circuit breakers, high and low voltage switchgears, automation devices and navy distribution panels, de-magnetizing devices, apparatus power supplies and so on.

Keeping and inhering excellent manufacturing process of 1990’s, Shanghai Hua Tong Switchgear Works Co., Ltd. is actively assimilating global advanced experiences to develop new and hi-tech products which cater for domestic situation and devoting itself to updating enterprise’s by technology introduction, technical trade cooperation and co-production with advanced global enterprises. Together with those products manufactured with technologies introduced from global advanced enterprises since 1980’s such as 10kV, 35kV and 220kV SF6 circuit breakers, 10kV and 35kV switchgears working with either SF6 or vacuum circuit breakers and 400V modular low voltage switchgear. Hua Tong products are widely and reliably applied in state grids, power plants including nuclear ones, infrastructures, rail traffic transportation, commercial buildings and navy ships and boats. Actually, our products are distributed in major projects throughout 31 provinces and direct cities of our country. And still more, Hua Tong products sell well in Viet Nam, Iran, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Philippine, Albania, Thailand, Laos, Congo, Indonesia, Mauritius and other countries.

Hua Tong owns powerfully technical strength and preferably productive conditions. In the year of 2005, as per requirement of Shanghai Municipal and District Planning, we purchased a land area of more than 70000 M2 and built up modernized clean workshops and office buildings with total area of 66666 M2 in Songjiang District, a suburban area of Shanghai. In May 2007, Hua Tong made a move from 650 Lingshi Road in Zabei District to 418 Changta Highway in Songjiang District.

Up to now, we have 87 technical persons, 45 high grade skillful workers and 78 administrative people. A central lab, physical and chemical test rooms with 29 sets of advanced inspective devices equipped with strict quality assurance system and better working conditions will surely turn out stable and reliable products, Eventually, Hua Tong products have been recognized as “Shanghai Famous Product” and Hua Tong Brand as “Famous Brand” for consecutive 10 years by Shanghai Famous Brand Recommendation Commission. In 2007, Hua Tong was appraised as “Hi-tech Enterprise” and “Shanghai Municipal Little Giant Cultivation Enterprise” by Shanghai Municipal Science and Technology Association.
